The firm’s largest practice areas are medical malpractice and negligence, criminal defence, and labour disputes including end-of-service entitlements. It also advises on commercial arbitration, insolvency and restructuring, tax and Zakat, intellectual property and trademarks, company formation and commercial registration, and contract drafting.
How is end-of-service calculated in Saudi Arabia?
Half a month’s wage for each of the first five years of service, and a full month’s wage for every year after that, calculated on your last wage, with part-years paid in proportion. If you resigned rather than being dismissed, Article 85 may reduce the award — to nothing under two years, one third up to five years, and two thirds under ten. Our end-of-service calculator shows the full working.
Do you represent clients outside Jeddah?
Yes. The firm’s office is in Jeddah and it acts for clients throughout Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh and the Eastern Province. Much of the preparatory work in a matter can be handled remotely, so distance is rarely an obstacle.
Can I deal with the firm in English?
Yes. Consultations, correspondence, documents and representation are handled in Arabic or English.
Who leads the firm?
Dr. Abdulrazak Ali Al-Fahal, who holds a PhD in comparative public law and a Master of Sharia in comparative jurisprudence, headed the Law Department at King Abdulaziz University, and was appointed by royal decree as head of the Public Prosecution Office in Jeddah Province.
